The peninsular of Peljesac, after Istra, is Croatian largest peninsular with an area of 355km2, is positioned in the northwest part of Southern Dalmatia, Dubrovnik region and creates a border between central and south Dalmatia.
The Peljesac channel is located on the northwest side and separates the island of Korcula and Peljesac with a width of 1630m.
The geographic position of Peljesac, situated between 2 regional city centers of central and southern Dalmatia – Split and Dubrovnik, the mouth of the Neretva River, the island of Korcula and Mljet, gives it a particular geographic and tourist importance.
Orebic is largest town on the peninsula Peljesac: placed in the base of highest hill St.Ilija, overlooking at Peljesac channel and on island Korcula. Orebic is already recognized as a very attractive tourist destination, possesses all attributes necessary for complete holyday pleasure.
Viganj is small village on the peninsula Peljesac, very close to the city of Orebic.

Trstenik is one of the oldest ports of Peninsula Peljesac, originally intended for trade enhancement in these parts. Now Trstenik port is used as rest stop for yachts and boat sailing the Mediterranean.
